The Double is a product operated by Cardtree Technologies Private Limited (“Cardtree”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), an India-based company.
These Terms govern your use of The Double, thedouble.ai, digital profiles, AI Doubles, voice features, knowledge uploads, embedded widgets, integrations, workflows, and related services.
By using The Double, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Report Abuse & Takedown Policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. About The Double
The Double helps professionals, teams, creators, and organizations create AI-powered digital identities that can communicate, answer questions, speak, collect leads, demonstrate content, and perform configured actions.
The Double is a user-generated AI platform. Users control what they upload, configure, publish, embed, instruct, and share.
2. Eligibility and Account Security
You must be at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
If you use The Double on behalf of a company or team, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
You are responsible for your account, login credentials, workspace users, and all activity under your account.
Fake, automated, bulk, or abusive account creation is prohibited.
3. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for how you use The Double.
This includes your profile, Double, uploaded content, knowledge base, prompts, instructions, voice samples, leads, integrations, workflows, generated outputs, and anything you publish or share outside the platform.
The Double provides the technology. You are responsible for how you use it.
4. Identity, Names, and Representation
Your username, profile name, and Double name must be lawful, respectful, professional, and not misleading.
You may not impersonate any person, brand, company, public figure, fictional character, or organization without authorization.
You may not use false credentials, fake affiliations, misleading endorsements, infringing names, or names meant for resale, squatting, fraud, or deception.
We may request changes, restrict access, reassign usernames, or remove content if needed.
5. AI Disclosure
Users and visitors should understand when they are interacting with AI.
You may not mislead people into believing that a Double is the actual human, company, professional, public figure, fictional character, government official, or organization unless that representation is accurate and authorized.
You may not remove, hide, or contradict AI labels, notices, metadata, watermarks, or disclosures required by The Double or applicable law.
6. Voice, Likeness, and Uploaded Content
You may only upload, clone, generate, or use a voice, image, likeness, name, persona, document, file, brand asset, or other content if you have the legal right and permission to do so.
You may not use The Double to clone someone’s voice, imitate someone’s identity, create fake endorsements, create fake statements, mislead people, scam, blackmail, harass, defame, or deceive.
You confirm that anything you upload or connect does not violate law, infringe rights, breach confidentiality, violate privacy, violate publicity rights, or violate any agreement.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use The Double to:
- break the law;
- impersonate others;
- commit fraud, scams, phishing, spam, or identity theft;
- mislead users;
- create fake endorsements or fake professional claims;
- harass, threaten, abuse, or exploit others;
- distribute malware or harmful code;
- scrape, reverse engineer, or attack the platform;
- collect data unlawfully;
- promote hate, violence, extremism, terrorism, self-harm, exploitation, or illegal goods;
- create sexual content involving real people without consent;
- create or distribute child exploitation material;
- provide regulated advice without required qualifications and compliance;
- misuse AI, voice, workflows, integrations, or connected tools.
You must also follow our Community Guidelines.
8. AI Outputs and Professional Use
AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, unsafe, delayed, or unsuitable.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying important outputs before relying on them or sharing them.
The Double does not provide medical, legal, financial, tax, investment, insurance, immigration, psychological, emergency, or other professional advice.
If you use The Double in a regulated industry, you are responsible for required compliance, disclosures, licenses, professional obligations, and human review.
We do not guarantee accuracy, reliability, legality, non-infringement, availability, lead quality, conversions, business outcomes, or professional outcomes.
9. Workflows, Integrations, Leads, and Embeds
Your Double may communicate, use connected tools, collect leads, and perform actions based on your settings, permissions, instructions, and workflows.
Actions triggered through your account are considered authorized by you.
You are responsible for configuring, reviewing, and supervising your Double, including emails, meetings, CRM updates, spreadsheet updates, lead collection, embeds, and any external claims or transactions connected to your Double.
We may limit, pause, require confirmation for, or disable workflows that create security, privacy, legal, spam, fraud, or platform integrity risk.
Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, errors, data loss, permission changes, or policy changes.
10. Payments, Credits, and Plans
The Double may offer free plans, paid plans, credits, usage limits, add-ons, or subscriptions.
Fees may be billed in advance or based on usage. Plans may renew automatically unless cancelled. Taxes may apply.
Non-payment may result in downgrade, restriction, suspension, or termination.
Refunds are governed by the refund terms shown at purchase or required by law.
We may change plans, prices, credits, limits, and features from time to time.
Unless expressly provided, The Double does not process payments on behalf of creators. Any external payment, deal, promise, sale, consultation, or transaction is solely between the creator and the relevant third party.
11. Your Content and Our Platform
You retain ownership of your content.
By uploading or using content on The Double, you grant Cardtree a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, analyze, and use your content as needed to provide, operate, secure, support, and improve the Services.
The Services, software, designs, systems, models, prompts, workflows, infrastructure, documentation, trademarks, logos, and technology are owned by Cardtree or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, extract, or create derivative works from the platform except as expressly permitted.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data, privacy rights, retention, Google user data, and model training.
12. Reports, Takedowns, and Enforcement
We are not responsible for fraud, scams, impersonation, spam, misleading claims, illegal activity, unauthorized content, unauthorized voice cloning, or other misuse committed by users or third parties.
However, we take credible reports seriously.
If we receive a report with sufficient evidence, we may remove content, disable a profile or Double, revoke verification, disable voice features, restrict workflows, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, or report to authorities where required or appropriate.
We may remove, restrict, suspend, disable, or refuse to host anything that we believe creates legal, safety, privacy, security, reputational, or platform integrity risk.

13. Termination
You may stop using The Double at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, our Report Abuse & Takedown Policy, applicable law, third-party rights, or if your use creates legal, safety, security, fraud, spam, or reputational risk.
Termination does not limit our right to retain records where needed for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute, or compliance purposes.
14. Disclaimers and Liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not guarantee accuracy, reliability, security, availability, uninterrupted operation, fitness for purpose, business results, or professional outcomes.
You are responsible for keeping backups of important content, leads, files, and data. We are not liable for lost data, deleted content, failed generations, missed leads, unavailable conversations, or external transactions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cardtree Technologies Private Limited, its directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, vendors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Cardtree Technologies Private Limited, its directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, vendors, and licensors from claims, losses, damages, penalties, fines, costs, and legal fees arising from your use of The Double, your content, your Double, your voice recordings, your workflows, your data collection, your misuse, your violation of law, or your violation of these Terms.
16. Changes to Services or Terms
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, limit, or replace any part of the Services at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest version.
Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Disputes shall be resolved by arbitration in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
